Edition #4-Mumbai Meri Jaan by Vivek Raj Nair(TE EXTC)

Mumbai Meri Jaan
-Vivek Raj Nair(TE EXTC)
“A city which never sleeps” is a phrase that would suit only “Aamchi Mumbai”. Truly a city with a unique spirit and exuberance, whatever happens out here, the life just seems to continue in Mumbai. A small island off the western coastline of India, Mumbai seems quite small and compact on the map of our versatile nation. The versatility of our country however, is best exhibited by this island city of ours.
Being aspiring engineers, we have a mantra in our mind while designing a circuit that is, minimum space and maximum utilization. No one else interprets this better than a Mumbaikar. Whether its gully cricket or 20-20 we have space for everything our gullies and stadiums.
We start every New Year with a bash on the night of the 31st , which hangs over to 1st or even 2nd January. From spending a day with your loved one on Valentine’s Day or celebrating fools day on April the 1st, we do it all. Onam, Pongal, Baisakhi or Durga puja it’s all part of Mumbai life. Diwali or Christmas, lamps or candles, we take care that our city is always lit up. We always come together with an unbreakable spirit and never ending energy that flows through this city. That may be the reason, no matter what the disturbances are, this city’s Cosmo identity is never tarnished.
Bomb blasts or floods, we just have the attitude of ‘all for one and one for all’, and that my friend is Aamchi Mumbai.
