It gives me immense pleasure to welcome on behalf of all students and staff this new phenomenon in our College, the Wallpaper that has been appropriately named by its creators, as Campus Buzz. For, it promises to be what its name suggests, a chronicle of the happenings in and around our college, popularly understood as the buzzword of college. The wallpaper is a novel concept for us in SIES GST but I understand it has been present in a few other colleges at various times. It is, as the editors say, a magazine on the wall. One that you can read standing up. It will be put up every two weeks and promises to contain interesting items of news around colleges, erudite articles and humorous pieces vying for equal space, jokes, cartoons, travelogues, items of direct interest to students on matters that affect them on a day to day basis, music and movie reviews and so on…a full hand so to speak.
I am overjoyed that this new venture has taken shape and is premised on the expectation that it will be truly a magazine of the students, by the students and for the students, in other words, YOUR magazine. Its success will therefore depend on your own inputs and efforts. So, when I wish Campus Buzz the very best, I am in effect wishing every one of you the same.
The mast head of Campus Buzz has appropriate representation from all classes and the Editorial team appears to be full of promise. I am sure we can all look forward to a regular intellectual treat every fortnight.
