Edition # 11 - An Injection Can Change Your Life - Varun Goenka SE

Washington D.C: Desiree Jennings ,a native of Ashburn,Virginia is a 27 year old who would pass as a rather attractive woman but that is something she might just have 'learnt' to cherish because in August 2009 something unexpected happened to her.

While preparing for an 8 km marathon she thought of having a flu shot or an influenza vaccine injection and did just that. She got herself injected with the vaccine at some local grocery store and claims to have suffered neural breakdown some 10 days later. She was earlier training to be a Washington Redskins cheerleader and this certainly did not help in any way.Her condition was such that she could ‘walk’ only through convoluted movements and suffered erratic seizures and fits ,even ‘blackouts’.She had difficulty with routine tasks as typing something on a keyboard or holding something in her hands. But she could walk backwards normally and run forward normally. While running she could speak normally. But when static and trying to eat food ,she would involuntarily regurgitate.Doctors call her condition Dystonia.By late December, she started regaining control over her muscles and her movements and could perform routine activities quite well. However, remembering her previous condition actually causes her to behave the way she did when she was unwell.

Doctors say her condition was the result of multiple toxicity assault from the vaccine injected into her that caused vaccine injuries to her.She developed psychogenic disorders soon there after. This is what is claimed to have damaged her nervous system. Dystonia is considered a form of autism.

A search string Desiree Jennings on You Tube will most probably direct to videos on this topic.

We can all learn from this episode that aesthetic appeal is really temporary and bad things can happen to us in ways unimaginable. Also, we should not taunt or jeer people with deformities.
