Edition #3-Editorial

Welcome back to COLLEGE everyone!!!! After such a long and unarguably frustrating exam season, its nice to be back in college. Like every other activity, our Wallpaper is resuming. This New Year of 2009, brings us the opportunity to resolve to do new things, or old things better. We resolved to make the wallpaper fun to read, and bring in new columns whenever possible.

We have gotten space open in the Magazine and wallpaper crews to fill, anyone who is interested in working full or part time with the crew do get in touch with any of the people on the mast head.

With Republic day around the corner, and a chance to improve ourselves as Indians, maybe we could borrow a leaf out of the new President of the US of A Barack Obama-

“For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies, What is required of us is a new era of responsibility.”

On that note, and my Audacity to HOPE, I leave you to read the rest of the articles. Have Fun, and do write in with your feedback.

If you do want to write into the wallpaper, or contribute in anyway, this is the mailing address-

magclubsies@gmail.com. The online or E version of this is http://samanvaycampusbuzz.blogspot.com.

Edition #2- Editorial

Hi everybody!!!

BIG news First...We’ve moved! What was previously on the second floor notice board, WELL LIT, and given large bold borders of Campus BuZz (Huge thanks to the library staff) is now ALSO on the ground floor. Which, is where I presume you are standing and reading this! The second notice Board is all because of the overwhelming response and the generosity of our Principal. So CELEBRATE!!!

The Edition of Campus BuZz has more than just articles...you will find travelogues, Poetry, and the newest feature- Letters to editor. So there are three more sections you can write into. There is lots for you to read on this space...so I will stop with the editorial! Read, and appreciate...write in to the Eds to tell us what you thought. A shout out to the newly formed design team, for their efforts and success at catching your attention.

You know the mailing id- magclubsies@gmail.com

Keep your articles or contributions short, and we will put it up for all your colleagues to read!

Edition #2- What does your Sun ‘’Sign’’ ...or its proxy say...??

With all the tension in the world today, it would be foolish to move around without asking the stars first. We don’t mean you go ask SRK or Tom Hanks when they think the next hit will go down...we only suggest you ask and find out...What your sun SIGN or its PROXY says.....

Aries: You will be first in your class to face the VIVAs and to submit your journal. And your professor will hate you for delaying the process.

Taurus:
This fortnight is going to be great. You will fall off your bed, and that the resulting injury will get you out of the prelims.

Gemini:
Lots of hard work is on the cards, just when u thought you are done with everything you’ll realise you have a dozen more of everything to write

Cancer:
Stop copying things blindly and be extra careful, lest you copy even your friends name on your assignment

Leo:
Strange...the stars keep saying the number 40 will be of utmost importance in the next two weeks. Does that number mean anything to you?

Virgo:
Be careful of whirlpools. If you have no chance of going off at sea, then be aware of the flush in the loo.

Libra:
Beware of Cows, Goats and false friends. They will all come after your Lunch box. Signs indicate they will do so collectively.

Scorpio:
The object of your desires will talk to you today. They will ask you to stop stalking them.

Sagittarius:
Studying too hard for prelims will prove to be fatal. The overdose of books now will only make you lazy on the day of the paper.

Capricorn:
There is a high chance that you will be given extra attendance. This will make your parents worry, and call the college. SO, tell your friends to stop signing proxy for you.

Aquarius:
Some fires cannot be doused by water. So don’t go shouting I AM AQUARIAN, I AM AN AQUARIAN! toward a blazing trash can.

Pisces:
You will study for the wrong subject a day before the paper. Check the exam schedules carefully.

Introduction

Welcome to The electronic version of our college-SIES GST’s Magazine and Wallpaper. Every paper that comes out has an e-paper. This is good because it allows those people who don’t have access to the hard copy to read it when they are online.
SIES GST, or South Indian Education Society is an engineering College for undergraduate students. It offers streams of Electronics and telecommunications (EXTC), Computers(CE), Information Technology(IT) and Printing and Packaging Technologies(PPT).Our college is situated in Nerul Navi Mumbai, India.
Samanvay is our college’s Annual Magazine, and Campus BuZz is our Wallpaper. Samanvay, is Sanskrit and it means ‘confluence’. In our case, it means confluence of ideas, opinions, and a variety of thoughts.
Campus BuZz is a novel idea that was born from the need of a more frequent publication. It is a Wallpaper, which means it goes up on the wall, and one can stand and read it.
College magazines and Wallpapers are meant as an avenue for those who wish to express themselves, and convey their thoughts to a large readership. There are also those who write because they like to or can write well. And with all this there will be growth in the capacity of others to write and get their message across articulately.
On that note, I would like to open to a large unseen audiences of the world...Samanvay & Campus BuZz (electronic edition)
